We are a diverse group of quantitative researchers from biostatistics, bioinformatics, genomics, computer science and informatics with a shared focus on translational cancer research. Our offices are clustered together on the third floor of Moores UCSD Cancer Center. We comprise the main quantitative and analytical research core of the Moores Cancer Center. We are bringing advances in large scale data analysis, in probabilistic methods, in high-performance computing, and in informatics architecture to cancer research. Our close collaborators include scientific leaders in clinical and translational cancer research as well as leading genomic and basic scientists.
UCSD Moores Cancer Center, an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is among the leading institutions in the nation conducting basic and clinical cancer research, and in providing advanced patient care. University of California San Diego ranks among the leading biotechnology research centers in the world, and is situated adjacent to over 200 biomedical and biopharmaceutical companies and other research facilities in the research-rich “Golden Triangle” of La Jolla.
